Every three years, the Bolingbrook Park District engages an independent firm to conduct a community-wide survey to measure resident awareness, participation, satisfaction and interests.
This year, Bolingbrook Park District has partnered with Bolingbrook-based Customer Lifecycle LLC.
“We chose Customer Lifecycle because they take an innovative and unique approach to their survey process,” said Ron Oestreich, executive director of Bolingbrook Park District. “In addition, Customer Lifecycle completed the survey in 2010, which will allow for a six year comparison of critical data points.”
With the information gathered from this survey, Bolingbrook Park District can clearly identify objectives and develop action plans to better serve the needs of the community.
“We look forward to results each time because not only do we learn which areas we are doing well, but we always learn about areas in which we can improve,” said Oestreich. “An action-plan is then developed from the results, which administration uses to develop operational plans for the next three years.”
Starting in April, 25 percent of Bolingbrook residents will be chosen at random and mailed a postcard and asked to complete the survey.
In addition, more than 2,000 residents will be emailed asking them to participate in completing the survey.
Survey results will be posted online at www.bolingbrookparks.org/survey in July. Action-plans based off of the survey will be available online for the public to view in September.
The Bolingbrook Park District operates two community centers, an indoor/outdoor aquatic park, golf course, banquet hall and restaurant, two fitness centers, two outdoor skate parks, a sports complex, nature center and conservation area, and 48 parks, along with their many playgrounds, picnic shelters and more than 1,087 acres of land.
