Note to readers: Information in Police Blotter is obtained from the Romeoville police departments and the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals listed in Police Blotter charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

MAY 1

Eric Reitz, 26, of Romeoville, was arrested at 5:22 a.m. in the 400 block of Garland for obstructing a police officer.

MAY 1

Christopher Hernandez, 25, of Joliet, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. in the area of Romeo Road and Sunset Pointe for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and failure to reduce speed.

MAY 5

Ivan Alday, 27, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 6:39 a.m. in the 300 block of Macon for DUI, failure to reduce speed, no insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol.

MAY 6

  • Edwin Vega, 18, of Chicago, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. in the area of Murphy and Troxel for DUI, illegal consumption of alcohol by minor, no insurance, no rear registration plate light and illegal transportation of alcohol.
  • Brannon Castro, 18, of Romeoville, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. in the area of Murphy and Troxel for illegal consumption of alcohol by minor.
  • Max Preisler, 29, of Romeoville, was arrested at 3:26 a.m. in the area of Independence and Arlington for an in-state warrant.

MAY 9

  • James Russell, 48, of Romeoville, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. in the 1000 block of Romeo Road for an in-state warrant.
  • Juan Hipolito-Martinez, 23, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. in the 1200 block of Normantown for disobey traffic sign, driving with a revoked license and obstructing identification.
  • Fransico Salazar-Rodella, 19, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. in the 1200 block of Normantown for an in-state warrant.

MAY 10

  • Jacob Hughes, 21, of Romeoville, was arrested at 8:41 a.m. in the 500 block of North Elle for criminal damage to property.
  • Joana Sotelo, 29, of Crest Hill, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. in the area of Weber and Windham for DUI and failure to reduce speed.
  • Lindsey Olden, 42, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9:58 p.m. in the 400 block of Healy for an in-state warrant.
  • Kathleen Smikoski, 51, of Oakland Park, Fla., was arrested at 3:53 p.m. in the area of Budler and Summerfield for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and disobey traffic sign.

MAY 11

  • Brett Toovey, 22, no known address, was arrested at 4:00 p.m. in the 300 block of Madison in Joliet for an in-state warrant.
  • Nichole Wojtecki, 34, of Romeoville, was arrested at 8:44 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Romeo Road for an in-state warrant.

MAY 12

Amanda Salois, 19, of Plainfield, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. in the area of Weber and Grand Haven for illegal use of cell phone and driving with a suspended license.

MAY 13

Michael Bernacki, 30, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. in the 0-100 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

MAY 14

  • Aaron Harris, 30, of Romeoville, was arrested at 11:31 a.m. in the area of Romeo Road and Macon for no valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic sign.
  • Dinah Flores-Cedeno, 44, of Joliet, was arrested at 6:32 p.m. in the area of Dalhart and Corona for no valid driver’s license, speeding and no turn signal.

MAY 15

  • Erica Marquez, 27, of Romeoville, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. in the area of Normantown and Dalhart for two in-state warrants.
  • Tony Martin, 29, of Romeoville, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. in the area of Normantown and Dalhart for driving with a suspended license and improper lighting.

MAY 16

Juan Francisco-Moreno, 29, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. in the area of Weber and I-55 for no valid driver’s license and illegal use of cell phone.
